Pelican - Card
The pelican is associated in Ancient Egypt to the afterlife. It was believed to be a protective symbol. The pelican is referred to in the Pyramid Texts as the “mother of the king” and thus seen as a goddess. It was believed that the pelican possessed the ability to prophesy safe passage in the underworld.

A wonderful bird is the pelican
It can hold in its beak
Enough for a week
I wonder why the hell it can.
Sorry about that. The point is that this card is wonderful. The quality is excellent, of course; like all the DM cards. And the colours are excellent – nicely balanced. The illustration is so imaginative; where does Daniel get all his ideas from? There's a lot of movement in this piece of artwork, it brings the bird to life.
Art worthy cards
Lovely picture good quality card
Pelican
Lovely creative artwork, on good quality card. There is even a little story on the back of the card about the artist and animal featured on the card. I'm very happy with my purchase. It will look great displayed in a frame in my house!
