In Roman and Celtic mythology owls are associated with wisdom. But they are also associated with the darker aspects of our psyche. This is probably because the are nocturnal. The hoot of an owl late at night in a deep dark wood in 100 B.C. would probably send a shiver down your spine. However, the owl was often seen as a guide to and through the Underworld

This print is available in three sizes, 10 x 8 inches, 11 x 14 inches and 14 x 18 inches.

Reproduced from Daniel Mackie's watercolour painting, this print is printed on somerset velvet 225gsm fine art paper (10 x 8 inch prints are printed on smooth matt 190gsm paper).

All prints are mounted and backed with white core polar ingress mount board (14 x 18 is unmounted, as it is shipped in a tube). Frame not included.
