Everywhere we look, in all directions in space, we see that the Universe is filled with stars and galaxies. On a clear, dark night, the naked human eye can see about 6000 of them, but that’s just a tiny fraction of all that’s out there. The observable universe appears to go back in time by about 13.8 billion years and there are countless stars in around 2 trillion galaxies. In our own galaxy, The Milky way, there are about 400 billion stars!
