Wren - Card
Wren - Card
The wren is “The King of the Birds”. This fable probably comes from greek mythology, but it’s origins are a bit misty. A competition to be king of the birds was set. He who could fly the highest would be crowned. The eagle, was expected to win, he soared high above the other birds and appeared to be the clear winner, until the wren emerged from under his feathers and flew higher still to claim the crown.

Love the wren with it's tipped up tail and the branch with all it's twists and turns, lichen and gnarly twigs How can it be so very instantly 'wren-like' and yet includes flowers and trees, ruler-straight lines and colours that I have never seen on a wren! The artist is a genius!.
These are beautiful, quirky and funny cards suitable for every occasion. They look like a collage of paint and fabric. and the detail, patterns, and colours are gorgeous. The legend/myth relating to each animal adds an interesting detail
I love all the cards. They are so beautiful and unusual.
Love all the designs of these cards! Amazing quality and value!
