Robins are familiar to many people simply because they are happy living in close proximity to human beings. For anyone who has recently dug their flower beds over, no doubt you spotted a Robin close by, monitoring proceedings. In fact it is said that they have nested in a lovers unmade bed while the couple had breakfast. Apparently a pair nested in a hole made by a cannon ball in the mizzen mast of HMS Victory!
