Seahorse comes from the ancient greek, Hippocampus.“Hippo” which means horse and ”kampos”, which means sea monster. Interestingly, part of the human brain is called the hippocampus, named so because of its resemblance to a seahorse. It is located under the cerebral cortex and is responsible for long and short term memory.

Reproduced from Daniel Mackie's watercolour painting, this print is printed on somerset velvet 225gsm fine art paper.

Shipped in a tube. Frame not included. Signed by the artist.

Perfect for an 'underwater bedroom'

My 10 yr. old daughter has an underwater themed bedroom, and this picture goes beautifully as it's fun as well as attractive - as all of Daniel's work is!
